Look - I have lost a lifetime from bad doctors...and have gained back a bit

of my life from doctors who write books. And from what I see...these are

doctors who have spent their lifetime WITH PATIENTS....and cared enough to share

their knowledge. I can type what I really think about that condenscending

statement from that doctor...

Great news! I have only seen Doc Milton once and had one phone appt,

but I think he will be much the same. It is sooooo stress relieving.

I saw my reg gynecologist yesterday for an annual checkup. I decided to

be honest and tell him all I was doing. In return I got a long talking

to about how I have to be careful and, I quote, " Good doctors do

research and bad doctors write books " I was told, in so many words,

that I should just trust my docs who have been educated at places like

the Mayo Clinic and consider anything I read for myself as quackery. I

was so stressed when that appointment was over that I would have come

home and really unloaded bunches on you guys. But my phone service was

down and I had cooled off by this am.

I had not had a checkup in three years and if I do go back, my lips will

be sealed. I will only say enough to get in and get out.

Blessings,

Debbie K.

Hello, Ladies,

I just saw Dr. Woliner yesterday for a routine vist (he's spacing them a

little further apart cause I'm doing so well -- Yippeeee!) and he

thought it was time to check my cholesterol and some other things so was

ordering some blood tests. But, he said he was not going to order any

thyroid tests and asked me if I knew why. I said, " Because they don't

matter, " and he laughed and said that was true. Then he told me to

continue to gradually increase my Armour until I thought I was where I

needed to be! I wish everyone on this list could experience what we

have with these " Top Docs. "

I have to agree with what has been said many times before on this list. I don't

know how these people can call themselves doctors and not take the " whole

person " into consideration when they're treating a patient. Instead, we're

reduced to a bunch of individual symptoms and they force us to take a bunch of

pills for each one! That's why I bolted from my last doc. I didn't want 17

prescription bottles lined up like my Mom. Fortunately, she reads about her

meds, and several times has stopped taking some because of side affects. Then

she realized she feels better when she stops taking them. I've tried to get her

off $ynthroid, but she says she feels well now even though we've all noticed

she's very frail. I personally think the medical community is slowly killing

her.

Since they have to evacuate their area due to Hurricane Frances and they live in

a mobile home, and are coming to my house, I'll have a captive audience and

maybe can work on her some.

Yea, and my mother's malignancies were misdiagnosed over and over for years by

those " good docs " who work in the best hospitals in Boston and have reputations

bigger than you can see! Don't get me started!!!
