They generally only do that to turkey, IME. Not chicken or beef.

Although some of our members that are super sensitive grind

their own meat and find they react better to that - or enjoy the

control and the surety of what they are getting - probably among

other things, higher quality meat control.

I don't know how to judge its legality other than it's on the legal

list. That said you're probably better off buying blocks of it and

grinding it yourself. It's waaaaaay better tasting. And use

sparingly.

IMHO you want to avoid juice as a general rule. Fruit juices are very

sweet, contain a ton of fructose and I guess you never really know how

it's produced. If anything make your own but you really shouldn't be

drinking much of it anyway.

You have to research each one thoroughly but there are brands that

don't have additives. Check Trader Joe's if you can. Whole Foods

probably carries good brands but I don't really like WF -- very

expensive.
