Guest guest
Since there seem to be a number of new ladies on the list, and there have been a few inquiries in the last week or so about getting info -- I’d like to mention that one of the best on-line places for fibroid info, is the NUFF website (NUFF sponsors this list) – at http://www.nuff.org/ As for books on fibroids, I’d recommend starting out with Carla’s book (our moderator: Carla Dionne) – “Sex, Lies and The Truth About Uterine Fibroids” – this is a well researched, patient-perspective book. In my opinion Carla is undeniably the fibroid maven – and you’re a patient – so patient perspective is your perspective. There is also a new book out by Goodwin and Broder – imagine a Gyn and an IR getting along about fibroids and writing a book together – miracles do happen (both members of the NUFF Bd of Directors too). It’s called “What your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Fibroids” Haven't had a chance to really read my copy yet, but it looks great. There are a number of other Fibroid books out there – some better than others --- the two above are both available from Amazon (for $10.47 each I believe) – and last I knew they qualified for free shipping if your order totals $25.00 – ______________ PS: I'm still planning to hold a Fibroid Fun Fest Picnic somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area - possibly the afternoon of May 4 -- anyone interested in attending - please e-mail me off-line at marypatb @ hotmail.com (w/o the spaces) - and include the word " fibroid " in your subject line. I think it will be fun.
