Hi ,

I'm sorry you are not feeling well, so PLEASE take care of you first and

foremost. The other can wait. I think my rheumy needs to know everything

he possibly can get his hands on as now I am getting grief from my employer

about things. The following is just a bit of what I received via email

today:

" In relation to your recreation leave payment request, you will accrue 2

days as at close of business 23/3/04. Accordingly for the 2 days, you

will be paid $269.97 gross, $8.00 tax, resulting in $261.97 net. The net

will be paid to you on Wednesday 24/3/04, as you are not permitted to

receive the money until the recreation leave has actually accrued.

Could you please provide another medical certificate, as the last medical

certificate was to 1/3/04. I will then be able to process your personal

leave accordingly. Do you have any updates on your condition and the

prospects/time frame for returning to duty? If so, please send me any

medical updates you may have.

Also, just a reminder about the maximum period of leave for personal

illness is limited to 52 weeks of paid leave. In your situation, you have

had a mixture of paid and unpaid leave which commenced on 12 May 2003

which would therefore cease on 7 May 2004, if you did not return to duty.

After the 52 weeks, you may access personal leave without pay only but it

is limited to 78 weeks. The 78 weeks would therefore cease on 5 November

2004, if you did not return to duty. This means that during the first 78

weeks, you still accrue leave and are expected to make superannuation

contributions. After 78 weeks, the leave would not count for service for

any purpose (i.e. leave or increment) but you would be expected to make

superannaution contributions. You will therefore not be permitted to

access any more recreation leave after 7 May 2004, in relation to your

personal leave.

Also, you have shortpaid your superannuation contributions since your

salary was ceased in Pay 25/03, from payday 5 June 2003. "

How do I answer this when even my damned drs won't commit to a definite

diagnosis but just a working one of neurosarcoid. They don't even know how

to treat me let alone how long I am going to be ill. I just don't know

what to do anymore and now with them cutting any access to the least amt of

money to keep my head above water, I am getting so damn frustrated and

depressed, I wonder if this is all worth it. I DO desperately want to go

back to work because I love my job but physically it is just an

impossibility at this point in time. How can I get some answers from these

so called specialists for my sanity???? I just seem to be going around in

circles.

Love

Toni
