I insisted I get a culture done, and told him I was sick of using yeast medications when I didn't even know if that is what was really wrong. So, he hesitated and tried to tell me to see my family doc (I told him I could not wait 5 weeks) so then he finally DID it! The speculum hurt like a mother-effer. But it is done. I feel relieved.
