By the way, since I mentioned it already, if anyone's interested, you can

actually take a virtual skate from one end of the Rideau Canal to the other.

I used to do this for real fairly often in my better days. I live only a few

blocks from the canal.

Just go to this website and click on the Virtual Tour. It's pretty neat.
