Hi . Comments on a few things: The way you are upping your Armour

sounds great. And hopefully, once you are at 2 grains, you'll sit for

several weeks to give the T4 time to build and see the results. I'm

really excited for you.

Has your doc ever commented as to what makes your Ferritin so high??

Your free T3 may be in the so-called " normal " range, but it's not

normal. I bet you know that.

Tell us about Schwartzbein Syndrome...

Hi Janie,

How is my T3 not normal? Where should it be? No, Dr. Woliner did not

say why my Ferritin was so high. Is that iron? I remember years ago

they tested me for iron amoung other things and my iron was high.

I really don't know much about the Schwarzbein Principle but there is

a website you can visit. Dr. Woliner has mentioned this Schwarzbein

thing to me often.

Hello ,

G> How is my T3 not normal? Where should it be? No, Dr. Woliner did not

G> say why my Ferritin was so high.

if you are in an acute stage of inflammation ferritin can be high due

to being an acute phase reactant. however repeat ferritins should go

down when inflammation[from RA hashis etc]is lessened

G> Is that iron? I remember years ago

G> they tested me for iron amoung other things and my iron was high.

fasting iron?

Hi ,

Glad to hear you are progressing!

So he has you on DHEA for adrenal support instead of hydrocortisone...and this

is allowing you to take Armour now? Very interesting. Why did he choose to do

that where your DHEA is high enough?

So he is saying you are insulin resistant because your insulin was 15 with range

of 5-10? So too much is floating around trying to work and cannot....

Schwarzbein Syndrome being...???

Roxanna

Update on ....

Hi all,

I just wanted to let everyone know how I am progressing. I am on

1grain of armour and have been for a little over one week. I am

supposed to jump to 1 1/2 grains after next week and then to 2 grains

two weeks later. I am on 37.5 mgs of DHEA up from 25 mgs a few days

ago. I am certainly tolerating the armour better than without the

adrenal support. The doc told me to watch for acne or aggression

problems. I don't feel agressive at this point, but I have been

noticing a little acne.

As far as my blood work prior to my DHEA and the armour, here goes:

My Ferritin is HIGH at 436 with normal from 20-380.

My DHEA in my blood was normal at 300 (well in range)

My insulin was 15 with ideal being 5 to 10. 15 is still in normal

range, though.

Cortisol was high at 26.4 with normal at 8am being 4 to 22. My

cortisol a few months ago was 34 at 8am.

Vit B12 normal

FREE T3 normal at 303 with the normal range being from 230 to 420.

I am HYPOGLYCEMIC according to the blood work and insulin resistant.

He said I have Schwartzbein Syndrome.

No Candida Antibodies

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi . Most of us don't get fully rid of our symptoms until our

free T3 is at the top of the range....and over.

Ferritin is a protein that stores iron in the body. The serum

ferritin level -- the amount of ferritin in your blood -- is directly

proportional to the amount of iron stored in your body. Most of us

have pitifully low Ferritin--you are lucky. But if it's too high, you

can have problems---I just don't know how much is too much.

I really don't know much about the Schwarzbein Principle but there is

a website you can visit. Dr. Woliner has mentioned this Schwarzbein

thing to me often.

Hey ,

I noticed that book on his book shelf when I was there on Monday.

nne,

He has a lot of books that I have at home. I just bought the

Schwarzbein Principle book tonight from the bookstore. By the way,

Dr. Woliner said that I stress myself out too much and I should leave

the worrying to him. I have to put my faith in him.

That is good to know. Hopefully Dr. Woliner will get everything in

order. I sure hope so.
