Guest guest
I have been meaning to reply about this symptom & just kept getting side tracked. My own lung problems that I have had MOST my life started with an allergy to Chlorine. When I was a child, my best friends put in a swimming pool one summer. That year I was diagnosed with " Asthma " . Within 2 years after that my Mom & I figured out if I avoided chlorine, I had no asthma. Now I didn't totally put this together with thyroid disease till my cat was dx'd with hypothyroidism. He gets horrible mouth sores when ever he drinks chlorinated water. Then I did some research and found many links between chlorine and hypothyroidism. To really get rid of it in your life, you either need well water or filters on every faucet you touch the water from. I have one on my kitchen sink and one on my shower. The shower one I can actually tell when it needs replacing by my after-shower cough. I am a smoker, but the only time I cough is when I have been exposed to chlorine. My doctors always told me the cough, bronchitis and pneumonia that I am very prone to was from smoking... Well guess what? I haven;6t had any of those things since I took my meds into my own hands almost 5 years ago! I have also had shower filters on my shower for that same time. Coincidence? I don't think so.
