Guest guest
I have been dealing with chronic fatigue for a few years and just recently discovered it is an autoimmune disease. (Who knew?!) What tipped me off was that my doctor said she would refer me to a rheumatologist (which I am not pursuing). Tests done two years ago indicate that I have CMV, EBV, Herpes VI, and reactivated chlamydia p. I am also certain I have candida. I have started enzymes and am finding them helpful. I also tried apple cider vinegar--a tablespoon in 16 oz of water. This is my question: After the first time I drank the vinegar, I had pronounced cognitive problems. That started about a half hour after. It's one of the chronic fatigue sypmtoms I have had but less so lately. Can anyone here tell me what apple cider vinegar does? (I haven't read anything on it in years and was trying it from a vague memory about its digestive benefits.) I am not sure whether my reaction was a herx or inhibition of thyroid hormones. If the latter, I have to avoid the vinegar. The story behind thyroid is that I finally agreed to go on synthroid after alternative attempts didn't work, and the cognitive problems got better, although they still would kick up from microwaved food (which of course I now avoid). By the way, on the enzymes I am both herxing and feeling better at the same time. I guess it says something about an illness if one actually prefers how one feels during a herx. Thanks. I immediately began experiencing a huge flare of my pseborhea dermatitis on my face. The psebohrea had really been doing well with the diet until then. My question is whether you think this is a healing reaction or is the ACV making my candida worse? I dilute 1 Tablespoon of ACV with filtered water once a day. > ==>Hi Gordon. You asked a very good question and the answer may be a toss up. Some candida sufferers are very sensitive to vinegar, even when it is unpasteurized unfiltered, etc. We've had a number of members on this group reporting reactions and I couldn't tolerate it during my candida cure either. I agree ACV does provide health benefits but you are getting plenty of healthy nutrients with this diet plus supplements, along with other treatments recommended. Sauerkraut, cabbage rejuvelac and kimchi would be most important to consume. Bee
