Why do I have to be on the SCD for 2 years???

How long is the official " repair time " for microvilli? I find such great

explanations for every other aspect of the SCD but neither in the book nor

online can I find a single explanation as to why it'll take up to two years.

Also, does anybody know how, besides crossing our fingers, are we supposed to

know if our microvilli have healed at all? Is there some test my G.I. hasn't

yet charged me for?
