Guest guest
I felt terrible reading about the problems your son has had in school. I can really empathize with you. It sounds as if you were writing about our daughter and her struggles in school. Has your son been tested for learning disabilities, etc.?? Is it possible that he has ADD or ADHD? Our daughter is now 23 years old and will soon graduate from Albion College in Michigan with a " B " average. Given her struggles academically, we are so proud of her determination . She has suffered from severe ADHD and some learning disabilities (especially in short term memory) her entire school career. And yes, back when she was in 3rd grade, she felt like the " dumbest kid in the class " . And I know what you mean about meeting with teachers for your son's IEP. In our case, they agreed to everything and did NOTHING! Hope your experience is better than mine. Would love to hear more about your boy - feel free to write if you feel inclined.
