Guest guest
hi girls, i emailed wealthy friends in canada and asked them if they could help me pay for tests that i want to get done because my dad wont pay, and sent to geneva diagnostics in the states. they said yes and they are sending me the money on monday!. i am getting the vaginosis profile done, stool test for yeast sensitivities and allergy, extensive hormone profile, celiac disease test, thyroid panel, food allergy test, inflammation profile and intestinal permeability. what do you guys think? does that sound good? i also want to get tested for lymes, fibro and get my oxalate levels tested, but they dont do these tests at this clinic, so i need to find out where i can get them done. i hope they find something and there is something treatable or life is going to be over for me, ill just end it all. Dusty, i am not on any birth control pills, there has never been any point in that really cause sex is hell and i dont want to bring a man into this. i am going to try and get some E cream from somewhere, but im really scared to put things on my crotch now, cause they usually burn like hell and make things worse. i really just cant see this ever going away bacause the whole damn thing is sore! i hope i havent just damaged the nerves in my skin, and thats why its raw because u cant fix that. thanks for all your help and support guys. gemma
Guest guest
Dear Gemma, I am so happy for you that you have found a way to fund your trip to the US. It is very generous of your relatives to do so. That was a great idea for you to ask them. There is a doctor, Herzl Melmed, M.D. in Denver Colorado who specializes in vulvar vestibulitis and will do oxalate testing. Here are two numbers for him. 1- and 1-. Dr Melmed is a very caring, special individual. Not your typical doctor, it would seem. Here also are two fax numbers: 1- and 1-. (He has two office's in the Denver area.) Good luck with setting up all of your apptments. I hope you begin to find some answers--this has been such a long and difficult road for you and this wonderful idea you had to ask for financial help from your relatives--even though it must have been hard to do, could be a turning point in your life, Gemma! I hope so . Getting these tests done is a great start, but keep in mind that your answers will not necessarily come 'overnight'. There are still hurdles ahead of you and the testing, follow-up etc all take time. You have shown yourself to be a 'problem-solver' though, and this will be one of your greatest strengths as you procede down your road to recovery. I am just so happy for your great news, Gemma! Keep us posted! CarolLynn

Guest guest
Gemma, Also - start the self-care protocol, if you have not. Get a small sizt pan (plastic, maybe through a medical supply or large drug store, inexpensive) and twice a day fill with warm water and 3 teaspoons of baking soda. Sit in it for 10 to 15 mintues. If you are using a bathtub, make that TABLESPOONS to increase the amount of baking soda. Get a small spritz or spray bottle and rinse every time you pee, with water. Then pat (dont rub!!) dry, using something soft. I have 7 washcloths and use one a day for patting dry at home, but soft toilet paper works. Cover the area with olive oil, lightly - not enough to run onto your clothing, a drop or two works. When you will be exercising or sweating (hot weather wallk, for instance) use straight sinc oxide instead (over the counter, not expensive, in a tube). Wash your underwear only in All Free detergent if you can get it, and double rinse. WHITE COTTON underwear, I get a size too big so lots of air circulates. Be patient - you didn't get here overnight, and getting better will take time. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Gemma, oxalate testing does not require an expert - and oxalate diets are not necessarily working for very many people - so don't choose your Dr. based on oxalates. Anyone can test for that. My local clinic did the test for me. --- tkay_21 wrote: > > hi girls, > > i emailed wealthy friends in canada and asked them > if they could help me pay for tests > that i want to get done because my dad wont pay, and > sent to geneva diagnostics in the > states. they said yes and they are sending me the > money on monday!. i am getting the > vaginosis profile done, stool test for yeast > sensitivities and allergy, extensive hormone > profile, celiac disease test, thyroid panel, food > allergy test, inflammation profile and > intestinal permeability. what do you guys think? > does that sound good? i also want to get > tested for lymes, fibro and get my oxalate levels > tested, but they dont do these tests at > this clinic, so i need to find out where i can get > them done. i hope they find something and > there is something treatable or life is going to be > over for me, ill just end it all. > > Dusty, i am not on any birth control pills, there > has never been any point in that really > cause sex is hell and i dont want to bring a man > into this. > > i am going to try and get some E cream from > somewhere, but im really scared to put > things on my crotch now, cause they usually burn > like hell and make things worse. > > i really just cant see this ever going away bacause > the whole damn thing is sore! i hope i > havent just damaged the nerves in my skin, and thats > why its raw because u cant fix that. > > thanks for all your help and support guys. > > gemma > > > > > > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
With the Baking Soda or a sitz bath with that? I'd test it first on myself. It was one of the few things that was like fire on me and something I just couldn't use. We're all different that's for sure. Dee~

Guest guest
That's good news Gemma. Also, with fibro a rheumatologist can test you for that by checking for tender points. Will your friends help pay the cost to have your test to check for Lyme sent to some of the labs here in the U.S. such as IGenex or Medical Diagnostic Laboratories? Guest guest
That's why when it comes to recommending the sitz baths with baking soda that I tell them to start with one teaspoon to see if they can handle it. Also, in many of those countries they have bidets to rinse themselves off after they pee. It's not something that is done with regularity here in the U.S. Kristy __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I have a bidet - it was in my house when we bought it, and the elderly lady who sold us the house said she liked to wash her feet in it. It works great, however mine SOMETIMES leaks and if I'm not careful to turn it off really hard it runs for hours and down along the pipes into the basement. My spouse gets really mad. But it sure is handy. Plus I can put my sitz bath pan on the bidet instead of the toilet. --- Kristy Sokoloski wrote: > That's why when it comes to recommending the sitz > baths with > baking soda that I tell them to start with one > teaspoon to see > if they can handle it. > > Also, in many of those countries they have bidets to > rinse > themselves off after they pee. > > It's not something that is done with regularity here > in the U.S. > > Kristy > > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
