Guest guest
Hi Ging, I just started using the Gastrocrom oral form. Actually until my Gastrocrom comes in from my mail order drug company, i'm using the Cromolyn Sodium, it is exactly the same thing, but only in a lesser dosage. The one i'm using right now is actually used in asthma treatment in a nebulizer. When Jackie and were talking about Gastrocrom a few months ago, I looked it up immediately in my 2001 Nursing Drug Handbook and that is when I discovered that it's the same thing. I had made the cream last month using the cromolyn, but like I said, it's a much lesser dose, so I had to use a ton of it, which made it watery. I'm waiting for my supply of Gastrocrom to come in so that I can actually try the cream made from the Gastrocrom. So far the meds are working wonders. Today I have NO hives so far ! My breathing is sooooooo much better, my shoulder isn't hurting again today, which is a complete miracle. The other day I had so much pain that I could hardly move it. Does the Medrol work for you?? Using steroids really didn't help me all that much, so I usually refuse them. The only time I agree to taking them is when I'm having a hard time breathing. Have you tried the Aveeno products for the itching? If not they make an oatmeal bath which is wonderful, also, they made the aveeno bath oil, which is awesome. As far as the Gastrocrom, do you have a good doctor that you can talk to about this?? Believe me, It took me 2 months to ask for it. I was so afraid that he would be offended that I thought of this instead of him, but actually, just the opposite happened, he apologized for not thinking of it. The way I approached him was, I told him that I had met 2 women, meaning Jackie and , that had experience with this and said it was wonderful. The minute he heard the word Gastrocrom, he said " I AM SO SORRY that I didn't think of this, please forgive me " ! I thought that was so cool. So please don't be afraid to ask your doctor, you have the right to feel better and the sooner you ask, the better. If I had to do it again, I would have never waited. What meds are you on ? I'm sorry I can't remember. I feel less foggy, but still can remember all the post on here! I hope I answered your questions, if not you can e-mail me directly and I try better! Talk soon, Ann > >Reply-To: urticaria >To: <urticaria > >Subject: For Ann re: gastrocrom >Date: Sat, 15 Dec 2001 10:43:24 -0500 > >Hi Ann, What form of Gastrocrom are you speaking of.
