Guest guest
Colleen: Wooo hooo! Congratulations on your surgery date! You'll be feeling lots more bones soon, which I still find a strange. Zach now says that I am boney. What a concept. I see my collar bones, my rib cage, and all the muscles and tendons in my feet, arms and hands. It's still strange to be able to reach around myself and feel my spinal column. And my poor tail bone has no more padding, and that can be a bit of an ouchie from time to time (but just a minor inconvenience). I remember when I first noticed my jawbone--it moved me to tears, happy tears. The time will fly by for you, and before you know it, you'll be on the other side. Keep us updated on how you're feeling and be sure to ask us all the questions that I'm sure will come up. If you're like most of us, you'll be on a bit of an emotional roller coaster. Just try to enjoy the ride and post, post, post. Not only does it help you, but it helps all of us too. I'm so happy for you! Gemello > Hello Group > Today I met with Nadia in South San Francisco, and we picked my surgery date which is going to be Feb 10th, which also happens to be my daughters 22cnd birthday. I could of had Jan, but with work restrictions it just didnt work out for me, so I am very excited. Also through the Christmas Holiday i still managed somehow to loose 4 pounds, which is great cause i was a teeny bit worried i may have gained , but a milestone this morning laying on my side in bed, wondering how cold it was outside of the covers, i felt my last bottom rib and this curve of my waist that i have not felt in years...........so a surgery date and a milestone all in one day! > Colleen
