Guest guest
Hi Dianne I just started getting that reflux. It started about 3 weeks ago. I hope this is not part of CU. Its bad enough we get hives, swell, and itch. Now is reflux. I go to sleep fine and wake up during the night feeling it. Sometimes I take tums and it helps. Othertimes its not really that bad. Just a drink of water will help. With CU there is always something going on. Many of us are on thyroid medication ARe you?? Keep in touch Sandy from NJ

Guest guest
Hi Sandy~ Thanks for writing. I am not on thyroid meds. I've had blood work done for thyroid, liver, CBC, hepatitis, etc. All normal. I haven't gone wild with testing as I lost my medical insurance - and job, 10 months ago. I'm thinking it is the stress of " all of it " , if you know what I mean. However, the dermatologist I am seeing now says that is not possible. I'm headed to see another new doc, (also a derm) tomorrow morning but wouldn't you know it - I'm almost clear right now! Some much for depending on these hives for anything except seclusion! Mt eyes are quite swollen right now. I'm hoping this one knows something. Keep in touch. Diane in Michigan Question: Are there more than H1 and H2 receptors? Guest guest
Diane, Did you lose your job because of the URT...If you did, you may get some help through your states Rehabilitative Services...I do not have insurance and I have had surgery on my eyes through the ALabama State Rehab Service...Let me know and maybe I can give you some more imfo...Anytime you have a condition that affects your ability to work, the rehab can help a lot of times...Hope this will help Rita > Hi Sandy~ > Thanks for writing. Guest guest
Hi Dianne How did you make out with the dermatologist? I even went for acupuncture. I thought it worked for a while but the hives came back. I guess we would do anything just to get rid of them for good.
