Hi there

- I am really sorry but I cant now remember which information

I was referring to that I was going to send you - I'm really sorry -

can only blame pregnancy!!

There is a website I looked at which gave info on different types of

tubes (eg ng vs g-tube) anyway the address is below.

www.new-vis.com

the Info papers by Suzanne on (I think) under " feed your mind "

are

particularly good.

I remember you said your son had had an ng tube since May - Finlay

also had his ng tube first placed in May - I can't tell you how glad

we are to be without it! His speech is really starting to develop at

last and although he is only allowed pureed foods he is for the first

time in his life EVER asking for yoghurts from the fridge and then

feeding himself up to half a punnet at a time...not sure if its that

lack of ng tube or the fundo surgery that is the catalyst for this-

but either way it is just fantastic!

Also i read Judiths post re whether or not to schedule a GI appt - I

agree with all the other responses - have the wheels set in motion so

that you can just press go if Dr H decides it needs to be done - the

most frustrating thing for us was the drs deciding a g - tube was

necessary and soon and then having to wait weeks/months for the appt

with a surgeon etc etc! Our surgeon wouldn;t even consider doing

surgery until Finlay had had a barium meal study and enema - so it

would be well worth getting these things done in advance so they dont

hold you up later!

Anyway good luck to you all with decisions and appointments etc etc -

we will certainly be thinking about Inga and Tim on the 17th of

January - and hoping it goes as well for Tim as it did for Finlay -

I'm sure it will!

Best Wishes
