, is the swelling & elbow pain on the same side as your surgery?

And also, did you have radiation?

I'm asking because your description of the symptoms sounds very much

like the way lymphedema begins. This is a not uncommon side effect of

radiation treatment, and it happened to me starting about two months

after I finished rads. I'd get it checked too -- there may be lots

more they can do to ward off the swelling than they knew about when I

was dealing with it back in 1989.
