>>>I cannot deal with the pain on my really down days. If it weren't for

you guys here, and some dear friends, I think I would have gone around

the bend a while ago.

When my outlook is up, I can be more philosophical about the pain and go

about my business as best I can. On the other days, all I want to do is

cry about how unfair it all is.

Been there - done that Helen - it is the pits - but we have the ability to

pick ourselves up again and start over - that is quite an accomplishment.

Dianne...I don't remember to be perfectly honest if

you did or not...I'd have to go back and look and it's

not in my trash bin any more. I hate that you are

dealing with depression. I know that is hard to deal

with but dealing with that and pain at the same time

has to be a real bear. Good luck to you. Liz

When I first changed the title of this thread to " depression " I was not sure how

the list would respond since at that time I felt that despression is something

separate from diabetes. I could not have been more wrong as so many of you have

said. This thread has helped me in so many ways I cannot begin to thank all of

you who replied - this is truly a place of caring and understanding - I am so

happy to be a part of it.

It so helps to have people to talk to, on lists that do understand. Esp about

Diabetes, but all the 'lovely' little things that go with it....like depression,

anger, and frustration.

Sure, I have that one too. I have a whole collection of books on depression,

learning to like oneself, learning to trust, and the like. How about " Why Am

I Afriad to Tell You Who I Am? "

I think I should probably get rid of them as they never helped me that much.

But I will pick them up from time to time.

I also have a collection of books on figuring out what to do with your life.

Some are great, if I could only get through my own crap to follow

through...LOL
