When is it okay to have sex after abdominal myomectomy?

To Those That Have Had an Abdominal Myomectomy:

I was wondering when would be a good time to have sex after an

abdominal myomectomy without getting a hernia or infection, or

ripping, or whatever else could happen. I am now 3 1/2 weeks post

abdominal myomectomy and my husband and I were wondering. My surgeon

wasn't really clear on this topic and I couldn't find anything in the

archives on this topic. Thanks for your input.

My doctor said no sex until 6 weeks after surgery. I believe that's typical.

You don't have that long to wait - just 2 1/2 weeks more. Think of it as an

opportunity for 2 1/2 weeks of foreplay.

My surgeon said 6 weeks to be on the safe side - everything should be

healing up nicely by then.
