Everyone:

Look at the email I got this morning. Looks like Zach is listening,

and I have got to give him credit for that.

My Dear Gemello,

Just want you to know I love you very much eventhough

I don't say it very often. I will try to adjust myself

to be more responsive to you when you need me. 11 years

is not a short period of time, and I certainly don't

want to push you away from me.

Z.

Martha....

Did you mean to send this to Gemello ? Even if you didn't...I

completely agree with your message.

-Gemello-I'm so glad things are coming back together for you. Newness

and changes are always confusing for us humans, and sometimes we need

a little " getting used to it " time. When our bodies change, our self-

confidence and outlook can change too because we live in a whole new

world, with new attention we never got before. I've told many

times that fat as I am now, I'm completely invisible, and often am

totally ignored in public places. I think these changes can be very

scary to a partner who was used to the " old " (invisible) you, who

seemed safe from others' attention and suddenly you're this desirable

human being who can be lured away. But beauty is only skin deep and

means nothing in the long run.

and I have an incredible relationship unlike any I've had

before, including my ex(the turkish self-absorbed jock who looked

good, but wasn't). and I talk about everything, and we

believe we are the ultimate soul-mates. We've been through a lot of

disasters together and survived. Physical appearance has never been

our focal point. We want to do this WLS together and we'll be going

through the changes together, and I hope that it will make us only

stronger(and healthier). I know from my standpoint I'll never find

another guy like him, and believe me, a new body will not change

that. So all you female postops out there just be aware he's not

available, and won't be. So give Zach a break, by his email it sounds

like he really is just dealing with a little insecurity, not

disinterest. Anne

Anne:

You are right, and you really hit on an important point. There is

something quite frightening about not being invisible anymore. I too

felt very invisible as a larger person.

You and are so lucky to have each other. And yes, feeling

healthy is such a wonderful part of this journey.
