I'm a little bit confused....are you mixing them with something that

is bringing the calories even higher? Are you using them as meal

replacements? Pre-op I would use 1 shake (mixed with water) for

breakfast and 1 as an afternoon snack so that leaves you like 950

cals for lunch and dinner, which seems reasonable... Am I missing

something?

Hi Ron,

When I was pre-op I had one scoop of Pro-complex with four ounces of

water and a half of cup of frozen berries for breakfast and dinner.

I used my other calories for my lunch. I didn't get into the habit

of having snacks.

Breakfast: Pro-Complex 130 calories

Fruit 50 calories

Total 180 calories

Lunch: 840 calories

Dinner: Pro-Complex 130 calories

Fruit 50 calories

Total 180 calories

Hope this helps some. By the way I lost 29 pounds in three months.

W.

Thanks for the encouragement Pat

I'm actually 5 lbs under what Dr Tanaka wanted me to loose before

surgery in November. I'm shooting for 20 under his requirement. I

don't want the worry of a close weigh in when the time comes. The

biggest help has been excercise. Nothing special just walking

everyday for 20 or 30 minutes.

Ron-

You would probably be ok cutting it down to 1 scoop...although if you

are just a few weeks from surgery I would keep with the extra protein

to help with healing. But I would think you would be ok with 1 scoop

in each drink and then the protein you get from food. Also keep in

mind that we would need more protein post op because of the lack of

absorption issue. So, you may not need that much now, but you might

want to up it again post op. JMHO

Sounds like the weight loss is good though...so, maybe...if its

workin for ya, dont change a thing.
