Guest guest
Come on, ...you've done great up until now. Your body is entitled to complain a bit after the battle it just waged...the treatments are cumulative, so this last one kicked your b---I finished chemo in October 2004, same drugs as you, dose-dense, and every two weeks. I still to this day, after dinner, feel a little " wave " shall we say of nausea almost every nite, or should I call it the metal mouth syndrome? Normalcy? It will return, or something like it. The mets watch? Some weeks, I don't think about it...others, it becomes obsessive, the " when will the other shoe drop " kind of feeling. Just take care of yourself, love yourself and feel good about yourself. You've been through the mill. Take one step at a time, one stage at a time and you will see that the human body is an amazing thing. You will heal, slowly, and turn back into " " again. COME ON, Jenn, you can DO it! Guest guest
, I had CMF and didn't have problems but maybe someone else can answer that question for you. I think we all worry about the cancer returning or spreading. But it does get easier to handle as the years go by. You are in my prayers. How long did it take for the ladies who did chemo to feel better (I did 4 A/C, and 4 Taxol, dose dense)? It seems like the last one just snuck up on me, as I had tolerated all the others well. Grump, grump, grump. How long till I stop fearing mets and life resumes a veneer of normalcy? Thanks for hearing me out, R. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
– I only had 4 treatments of a/c, but the last one took me almost 4 weeks to get over. Even with that few treatments, my onc told me that it could take up to a year to feel like I did before the treatments. Give yourself a break and rest while you recover. I know it’s hard, especially when you don ’t know when it will end (the chemo did a depression number on me). I’m on hormone therapy now – Arimidex – and doing the hot flashes and joint pain, but I still occasionally have the fear that the cancer will come back. The good news is that cancer medical treatment is getting better and better…no telling what will be available if it does. I console myself with that and really benefit from this online sharing. Guest guest
Thanks, . Chemo caused me to be quite depressed as well. And you are right, cancer treatment improves almost monthly.
