Jeesh Sue... so sorry to hear that. How much did you use? And for only 2-3 days? That's such a short time hon it seems hard to believe it'd be the E & T creams.... WOW... I don't know, but I'd get off of it till you know more hon.

I don't know your age could it be possible that you're going into peri menopause and maybe (just maybe) it's coincidental? I know my periods sure got a little erratic during that time and I wasn't on anythingm just nature playing around, Eventually I had to have a D & C... and from then on & ever since all's been fine.

Anyway hon so sorry but I would stop using those for now if I were you till you see what's what. Usually just the tiniest of a peasize dab is all that's needed, enough to make a once over very light film hon. It's so easy to use more so maybe that was it. Anyway sure hope that stops for you and never comes back.

I'm spotting too. I'd never done this before starting on the Clobetasol and the Estrace. I'm trying not to worry too much about it. It's still another 7 or 8 days before my period.

I use the E & T also. Before that I used just estradiol and never spotted from either. I did spot from progesterone (cream) and DHEA (25mg pills)

Gosh, I've never heard of the T. causing someone to spot. (I was assuming it might be the E) That's unusual seeing you say you've used the 'estradiol' before without a problem but now spotting. *sigh*

I wonder if it 'might' even be an imbalance of ones own hormones maybe an excess of ones own natural progesterone as compared to estrogen that might cause a bleed? Well I sure wish I knew what to say as to why but honestly I've no idea hon.

The progesterone I can definitely see, as that's the one that's added with HRT to trigger a bleed purposely. And I've not seen it with DHEA but not saying it can't be as I've no researched that as much hon. I know Dr.E. Vliet in her book is generally against DHEA (unless with a physicians prescription) it's too volatile and one never knows which tipping of the balance it may take so no idea if it might be that too for someone.

It's definitely a delicate balance that's needed, but I am surprised about topical use as usually that's not the case (but obviously can happen) but I hope in your case it was just too much usage. (not sure Sherri of how you used it) But it sure shows how different we all are and regardless of what's normal or typical if that's not you it doesn't matter what or how it affects anyone else.

Hi:

When I started bleeding from the DHEA, it was more like the start of a period than just spotting. I forget how long I was taking DHEA maybe a week to 10 days and it was not time to start my period. I wasn't using any other hormones at that time.

I never spotted from either the estradiol alone or when I switched to the E & T combination. The only problem I had was when I started using the estradiol, I used too much and got a BV infection. I have been fighting off infections since then since June. I have no good bacteria. I have had no other problems with either the estradial alone or the E & T. The estradiol was the only thing that gave me relief from the constant burning, that is why I started using more than I should have.

I did start to bleed after using DHEA for either a week to a week to 10 days. I wasn't using any other hormones at that time.

I also bleed from using Progesterone cream. I put it on at 10:00pm and woke up at 6am spotting.

The bleeding from DHEA was more like the start of a period. The bleeding from progesterone was more spotting. But I used the DHEA longer then progesterone. I stopped when I started bleeding. I didn't use them at the same time.

Hope that clears up my bleeding!!!!! I am off again to the doctor for another culture.
