Guest guest
Has anybody been getting these strange little e-mails, like they are little pieces of a story? Here's some samples ---they were sliding away, huddled all together, in a fearful confusion of slipping, rattling, cracking slabs and stones. It was the trees at the bottom that saved them. They slid into the edge of a climbing wood ---Gandalf tried various incantations. Would this be any good? asked Bilbo, when they were getting tired and angry. I found it on the ground where the trolls had their fight. ---and hide behind the beer barrels in the cellar, and not come out again until all the dwarves had gone away. Suddenly he found that the music and the singing had stopped, and they were all looking at him with eyes these are not the only ones that I have been getting and they are from different addresses everytime and different names. Not that I am accusing anybody, just wondering if it's happening to anybody else. Patti
Guest guest
There is a certain continuity here which leads me to believe the exerpts are from the same story. I know the story but can't for the life of me remember the title. Ok, got it " The Hobbits " . There was a whole series back in the 80s, I believe, and several movies were made a few years back. Very strange, the same story and coming from different addresses. The addresses wouldn't have a .vig or t in them would they? Guest guest
Don't think it's a virus, no pop up's, all my mail is scanned by my interent provider and by my own personnal, I feel pretty well protected. Guest guest
Use of legit text from books is a trick to fake out spam filters. Spam filters often look at the ratio of legitimate language and text to graphics and enclosed html to determine if something is spam. Using text from boos makes the filter think the email is legit. I have not see any of these from the list. > > Has anybody been getting these strange little e-mails, like they are > little > pieces of a story? > > Here's some samples > > ---they were sliding away, huddled all together, in a fearful confusion of > > slipping, rattling, cracking slabs and stones.
