Guest guest
I asked my doctor about adrenal fatigue and he said since I have Hashimoto's Disease and it comes from a VIRUS that I could not have adrenal fatigue. Is this BS or what? I think I have health issues with my thyroid since I had German Measles when I was 10. This " virus " that caused my Hashimoto's was certainly long lived! I got this doctor's # from Armour's web site. Think I will buy my Armour from mexico and cut out the middle man. he knows alot less about this disease than I do! Guest guest
Yes, Janie! Haven't you heard all the latest rage of hereditary autoimmune viruses??? They pull your hair out when you sleep, inject you with calories when you aren't looking do you can't lose weight, and worst of all... They use your body at night so you still feel TIRED the next day! LOL Sorry I am a bit of a wise a$$ this morning. Really some of the excuses NOT to properly diagnose & treat people are amazing. Guest guest
Thanks . I sure did need that chuckle this morning. I think we all can and have to be smart a$$es once in a while (o.k., some of us more than others) just to be able to cope and keep our sense of humor in tact. Really, loved your answer. Guest guest
How would you like going into the doctor's office in a small town and they know that you work a nursing floor, no matter what that role might be (I am a CNA, not a licensed nurse)? Here you are feeling like duky warmed over, and all they want to talk about is someone ELSE'S health. I once told the last doctor I had, when I came in for an appointment because I felt so horrible, when he started this crap, I told him that I felt really awful and could we please see what's the matter with me. I told him that it was hard for me to even communicate today because I felt so awful. This idiot got ticked at me. They're so screwy!! Here I am paying him good money to talk about someone else, when that's all I've been doing all yr long. This was MY time, and, at the time, I was suspecting chronically undertreated thyroid, of course, and I was right, but do you think that I got treated that day? Nope. With no blood tests and no physical exam, I was given a sack full of antitibiotic and cold medicine. I did not have a runny nose or congestion, just FELT like I had the flu. Didn't even take my temp, so he wouldn't have known on his own that I was probably running a 96 something temp right in the middle of the day. That was 2 yrs ago, and my last visit to a doctor in my area. Well, then there was the endo who said " Once the thyroid fails, it does not change status. " Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
