To bee gordy and kay and gemello

I am so far into emails here i cant get through them all, but i did catch some and i just want to say that it is so amazing to me the way things have gone for all of you, Kay that is so mind boggeling the weight you have lost, your dedication and keeping on track and going to the gym and you so unselfishly reply to everyone new and starting and needing help, and your letters are always so polite, and gordy and bee contribute so much as well, i always look forward to reading them as well as gemellos, Again thanks for all your support and letters that keep me focused when i sometimes feel like my day is just never going to come, i am sorry i dont write as often now that my job has changed, but its going to get better........................................

Hi Bee,Your comment about trying to walk around with the bags of rice got me to thinking. I've been going to the gym for the past few weeks and one of the machines I use is a leg press. I decided to try lifting as much weight I could - I've lost 189 pounds, so I figured I should be able to lift quite a bit. Well, my trainer was impressed that I could lift a hundred (although I'll admit I couldn't do it more than a few times) - but there is absolutely no way I could come close to lifting that 189 pounds. Geez . . . how did I ever get around back then? Oh, yeah . . . not very well and on crutches. Wow! has life ever changed! All the bet,Kayin San Leandroopen RNY 12/1/03bl z wrote:> Gordo!> congrats...now that the butter is leaving...what will you use next? I > saw Gity today and she told

Hi Colleen,

What nice things to say! I'm blushing.

You know . . . the messages I post here, whether to welcome newbies or

offer prayers to those heading into surgeries or congratulate someone on

a milestone or offer advise or whatever . . . well, in a way they all

really do me a service - they help me stay connected to this fantastic

source of truly caring support and incredibly helpful information.

What with the e-mail problems I've been having of late, compounded with

a bout of my depression, I have been feeling very disconnected lately

and it is not a good feeling.

When I saw my therapist last Wednesday, she gave me a homework

assignment. She said that I had to find a way to handle my e-mail

because being unable to participate in my support group was really

making things worse for me. It is cool that she recognizes how

important this group is to me.

Thanks for the kind words.

Take care,

Kay
