My doc thinks it should be between 10-20 (postmeno) and I was on a 350 mg troche, which she upped to 400mgs. My liver enzymes are also slightly elevated. Since upping the dose, I've been able to stop taking melatonin, and I sleep much better. I also increased my aldosterone. With those 2 changes, I got high cortisol symptoms and gradually decreased my HC from 40 mgs to 20. Do you think I'm getting myself into trouble with such a high progesterone dose? Thanks! Guest guest
I would recheck progesterone levels with serum testing. If ti is not high in serum it is fine. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
One last question about this, Val: Wouldn't have taking more progesterone a lot sooner have helped? I keep wondering about the advice to wait on sex hormones until adrenals are stable. If some of the progesterone IS converting to cortisol or aldo, isn't that a benefit in my case? Thanks for your time and patience. Irene > > > Val, you said: > > > > > > " Wow that dose is too high ! Guest guest
I generally donl;t tell people ANY MORE to wait on sex hormones. What I do tell them is to use END hormones as much as possible. In the case of beliow range progesterone YES absolutely taking SOME (small amounts especially at first) would be beneficial an it being thta low can be contributing to low cortils and low aldosterone. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
