Thanks Blueberri :)

For confirming that with the DHEA and your reactions. With me it gave me tender breasts and I stopped then tried it again a few months later and had the same results but I was also taking my reg. E 'and' T. with my HRT 'and' using the creams topically. So I figured overload as well. But I have to say I 'did' feel better as far as mood & energy.

I've never had a problem with my reg. E & T. cream & the oral as well, but add in the DHEA 'with' those, I did get the breast tenderness. Which one might have been hormone overload that did it I'm not sure, but It left quickly and didn't frighten me, just listen to the body. It usually knows or get tested first as you suggested (and Vliet). ;)

I have a question about this DHEA. I started taking it about 2

months ago to increase my libido. I am also postmeno... I was OK

and then my breasts got huge, real tender and I got a period! i

have not had a period for 5 years. Now my doc wants to do a biopsy

of my uterus. Could this DHEA have caused the bleeding and the

breast tenderness? Should I go through the biopsy??

HI , ;)

Sorry hon that happened to you but if it were me? Yes indeed I'd try going off the DHEA and see if the problem stops. If it does it's most likely that hon. It's what I would suspect anyway.

No idea if you're on HRT in addition to it but if so it probably would be an overload. Esp since you mentioned the breasts and the bleeding and never had that before. How much were you taking? Mine was only 25mgs and I even cut that in half and still had those symptoms.

If you've been off a while and find in the next month the same problem.. then I'd consider other options but not till I did that first and gave it a good amt. of time for a 'wash out'.

That's what "I" would do anyway for what it's worth. Good luck and I sure hope it leaves for you. ;) hugs

Thanks Dee. I am on bio-identical hormone treatment. I take 5mg of

ci-Biest and 125 mg of progesterone. I have never had a problem on

this and have been on it for abotu 2 years. Do you think I should

forgo the biopsy?? I would certainly like to not have to do that

and I have stopped the DHEA as of today. What do you think?

HI again hon. *smile* I think we were both writing at the same time.;)

I can only give you my opinion and that's all it is and what 'I" would do..... I would go off the DHEA and then just see if things correct themself. Probably a good month for a washout time. Especially since it's something you've recently added and never had that problem before.

If it's still there then I would do something. But that's me hon and things like that don't frighten me too much, unless it's something that just won't go away. Most of the time (with me) they do. You live long enough you save the panic for the big things *smile*.

Your Bi-Est (Estriol & Estradiol) seems low so I'd sort of doubt that's a problem and you said you've been on that for 2 yrs. About the progesterone, I assume you're adding that 'every' day? I guess if that's been your regimen hon I'd doubt it's that too (tho "I" wouldn't like taking that every day 'at all' if it were me.)

Another thought just hit me...... usually they give progesterone in excess to halt excess bleeding, I wonder if your doctor mentioned trying that before a biopsy? Just a thought.

Anyway it does 'seem' like it's the DHEA that has been the only change.

Can you tell us how you feel on it? Does it really help in some ways that are noticeable for you (I mean beneficial)? Wondering with you saying you'd hate to go off of it so that's what I assume you mean. ;)

I too liked it but with the tender breasts knew my body's saying HUH UH, nope not for me and maybe like me since I too was on HRT replacement as you are, that's possible we've enough hormones or by adding it just giving us 'too' much. ;)

Just thinking out loud hon. Try stopping it, you've nothing to lose and much to gain if that is the problem. If it's something else? Then you can get it checked out hon. But again just what 'I' would do. ;)

Hi:

Yes, the bleeding stopped. I don't remember how long it took. Progesterone also made me bleed. I put the cream on at 10pm and woke up at 6:30am bleeding. When I stopped that the bleeding stopped.

I just got T & E cream. What strength is yours?

HI SHerri, so when you stopped the DHEA did the bleeding stop as well and all was fine after that? I'm hoping so. :) Dee~ ;)
