Hi Keri,

I just wanted to comment on the Burger King

experience. It may have been something on the burger,

or it could have been the oil the onion rings were

fried in. Some restaurants use peanut oil, which can

cause severe allergies in sensitive people. Also there

is the issue of cross contamination, restaurants cook

all of the food in the same oil, so...even though you

did not eat the fish sandwich, it was cooked in the

same oil that your onion rings were cooked in! You

may want to ask them what type of oil they use in

their deep fryer. Peanut oil is popular because it

can tolerate high levels of heat without burning or

smoking.

Some people have to limit food eaten at restaurants

because the seafood is cooked on the same grill or in

the same fryer that the steaks and chicken are cooked

on.

I have to avoid all types of wine becuase they cause

me to itch pretty severely, beer, cheese, strawberries

and any fermented foods tend to be high in histamine.

Can you normally eat hamburgers and onion rings? Was

this an isolated incident? Until you firgure this out

you should probably avoud Burger King altogether.
