Prayers for My Dad Please

Last night around 12:30 a.m., my Dad had a massive heart attack. My

sister did CPR until the emergency crew arrived and it took them

some time to get his heart started again. They did get it started

and his vitals relatively stable so they took him by ambulance to a

nearby hospital. At that hospital, they did a CT head scan and

chest scan which showed no blood clots, however they couldn't do one

procedure due to elevated levels of something that is related to his

diabetes. So, they flew him by helicopter to another nearby

hospital and called in the heart cath team.

The team inserted a heart cath and found a 95% blockage in one of

his arteries. We were all astounded as he had just had his heart

stress test done not too long ago. After quite some time, they were

able to position a stent. So that's good so far, as the doctor at

the first hospital said the situation was dire meaning he had a slim

chance of making it.

Now the most critical part is the next 48-hours to determine whether

he has had any neurological damage due to his heart stopping. My

Mom, all of us kids and pastor were at the hospital all night. We

will now take turns on shifts being at the hospital over the next 2-

days.

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY DAD, specifically that all of his neurologic

function is there and that his heart keeps working and he doesn't

Thank you to everyone for your prayers. My Dad is stable for the most part but

hasn't woken up. The doctors are concerned about neurological damage but says

we need to give him more time to know what is really going on. His first EEG

was not promising but they will do another on Monday.

I am supposed to start chemo in 2 weeks and I cannot imagine or BEAR the idea of

doing chemo without my Dad. My Dad is my rock.

Please please continue to pray for stable vitals and healing of all of his

neurological functions. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
