Hi Everyone,

I really feel a need to comment on this issue. My husband of 18 years has

always wanted me to be thin even though we didn't discuss it because it was a

taboo subject. Now that I am (more or less), he hardly says anything although

I know he thinks I look good. The very few comments I got over the last 19

months included one after my breast reduction in which he felt the surgeon

" took too much off " ! When I confronted him about his silence many months ago,

he said, " I wasn't allowed to talk about your weight all these years, did the

rules change? "

Well, I thought, fair enough. What if I did gain weight and then I'd be back

to where I didn't want him commenting again. Of course, every other man I

know has PLENTY to say and it does definitely feel good (most of the time;

some of the comments from " old friends " I could do without). So, I've come

to the conclusion that my husband shows me his love and support through

actions, not words. He sat with me through every surgery, he helps me with

my food and set up extra outlets for my protein shake blender, he never

complains when I go to support groups and he's home with the kids, and... he

never left me when I was close to 300 lbs. He has, I believe, loved me

through " thick and thin " and has enjoyed our physical relationship (though

never enough for him) but I can't help always waiting for him to treat me

like I'm " Queen of the Universe " because I was morbidly obese and now I'm a

" normie " who looks not bad (or in the words of a guy I know, " ravishing! " )

Well, that's my twist on this story. Maybe if losing all this weight made me

want to have sex 3x a week, he would comment on it. In the meantime...

Later,

Marcia
