Guest guest
Hi Keri. I've posted this info before. From 2 different sources: " Hormone allergy describes an allergic reaction experienced by women as a result of the normal fluctuation of hormones. Though unproven, there are many claims that hormone allergies can be responsible for many disorders and symptoms. These include hormone imbalances, weight gain, premenstrual syndrome, chronic fatigue, loss of short-term memory, fatigue, mood swings, skin problems, diminished sex drive, and hyperactivity. At present, there are very few published studies on hormone allergies, and it is not widely recognized by physicians as true allergy. " " Hormone allergy is a type of allergic reaction experienced by women from the prepubertal to old age. It is a heightened reaction to the normal function of hormones. The most common disorders associated with hormone reactions are: Endometriosis Migraine PMS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Asthma Weight Gain Arthritis Loss of short-term memory Fibromyalgia Diminished sex drive Skin problems Depression (mood swings) Less scalp hair Dry skin (neck down) Increase in facial/ body hair Oily skin (neck up) " Hormone allergy may explain why some women's hives are worse at certain times during their monthly cycle. Plus what you eat may have an effect on this - a lot of plants naturally contain estrogen. A while back, I was told by my dr. that the body converts cholesterol into estrogen, so if estrogen is causing problems, it may help to reduce your cholesterol. Other sources of estrogen in food are dairy (they pump cattle full of hormones to increase milk production) and meat (again for the same reason). Air hugs, Jackie Life is tough, but I'm tougher. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
