Guest guest
January of 1999, one year before the hives, I had a large cyst and my Wolf Duct (?) removed. Because I'm very big, they did ALOT of testing before the surgery. My lung test then was 5.5 liters. Is that what you meant? And the coughing isn't worse at night - it's worse right after a shower but not bad now. Thanks! Amy Z in AL > Hi, there, just wanted to chime in with Jackie (I think) who suggested getting tested for asthma. The sort of inflammation of the bronchial tubes you are describing kind of sounds like asthma........and coughing worse at night can be a symptom too. Have you ever monitored your peak flow, for instance? love Carol
Guest guest
Hi Amy I must say I've never heard of a " wolf duct " . What I meant by checking your peak flow was monitoring your lung function with a peak flow meter - a simple handheld device that measures the amount of air that can be exhaled after taking a deep breath. A drop in the normal reading points to an imminent attack; a rise indicates that therapy is working. Having said all that, it doesn't sound like asthma is your problem, which is good news! Glad to hear your cough is better. Best wishes, Carol Re: To AmyZ re bronchial tubes > January of 1999, one year before the hives, I had a large cyst and my > Wolf Duct (?) removed.
