Guest guest
I have a question for anyone out there. I am a month post op on the 20th of this month. The last week I have been having this gnawing feeling in my stomach like I am staving to death. I was hoping it would pass after a couple of days but no such luck. It seems like I have to eat something every hour or so just to get the feeling to go away for a little while. Anyone else have anything like this? Guest guest
Jane, Please tell me that this feeling will go away!!!!!!!! I was shopping the other day and the feeling hit me in my stomach and I had to open up a can of peanuts in the store and eat a handful of them. Anything to make that feeling go away. I am glad I am not alone in this. I feel like if I do not get food in my stomach right away I am going to be sick. Dr. R. anyone please tell me what I can do about this if anything. I have asked a few people in the chat room I go in and they say it is the stomach healing itself. I don't know if I buy that or not. Guest guest
Hey Dee! Just wanted to throw a huge Congrats your way! You go GIRL! -35 lbs is such a victory and one you should be very proud of. Looks like that high BP is a thing of the past lady! YEAH! I am very very proud of you! DO you happen to have any pre and post op pics?? Would love to see them if you do. I have been trying to get my web page going, but by the time I get home and get the girls to bed, etc etc, I am worn out. Oh well... I will be 7 weeks post op this Thursday and still stuck at that stupid 31 lb loss. My body is comfortable at 230 and it looks like that is where it wants to stay for a little while. UGH!!! I have not measured myself, but I think I will. Lord knows all of my clothes are either fitting again or falling off...no more having to lay down to do the zipper uppers! LOL That in itself is great. Just hate sitting at one spot and not moving. Hopefully the increase in excercise will help. Oops...did not mean for this to be about me...he he he he Just wanted to send (((((((HUGS)))))))))) your way and say keep up the good work! Guest guest
Yep! Been there, done that. It passes eventually. I do still have times when I just have to eat right now, but that is usually around 10-11am, cause I just don't want breakfast anymore. I used to love a big breakfast, but now have some juice and maybe toast or a bagel. I'm happy! Karin from Pa. (MGB 9/20 -58 lbs) > From: SmittyX03@... > > I have a question for anyone out there. Guest guest
You betchya! This is a really bad feeling. I feel like I'm eating all day to stop the hunger feelings. I asked Dr. R if it was the vitamins or something, and he said " of course you're hungry, it'll go away eventually " . I'm not satisfied with this answer. I want an explanation and to know if there is anything I can do to make it go away other than eat. How long does it last? When will it go away? Started in week 3 and now I'm in week 4 with no lessening. Re: One Month Report > From: SmittyX03@... > > I have a question for anyone out there. I am a month post op on the 20th of > this month. Guest guest
Dee Congrats - you are definitely well into your new life!!! How exciting is that!!! Thanx so much for keeping me (and all of us pre-ops) determined to stay focused on this journey that will save my life. I am so happy for you. Over a pound a day!!! And we don't even have to tell you to keep it up - because you will!!!! Shari/San Francisco Bay Area PS BART is still great - safe for the most part and expanding to SF Airport. The iron component will make you have that feeling. Try to have something to eat when you take your vitamins and the feeling will be less severe.
