Questions about transportion in Phila area - Dr. Glassner

Could someone on the list who had surgery with Dr. Glassner in PA

answer a few questions for me.

Since I am coming in from out of state, they want me to be there on

Friday before the surgery for an appt. with Dr. Glassner, then testing

on Monday at the hospital and finally, surgery on Tuesday. I would

then stay two nights and return home on Thursday. I am trying to

avoid being away from home for almost a week, mainly for the cost

involved but also other issues. I asked Dr. Glassner about this and

he said I could try to arrange the appt. with him and also the

pre-testing at the hospital for Monday, but there is quite a distance

between his office and the hospital. His office staff doesn't seem

very supportive of this idea.

I wonder if anyone has done both the office appt and ultrasound with

Dr. Glassner in his office and then gone to the hospital for the

pre-testing all in the same day? Did it work out okay? I don't want

to stress myself beyond what I already will be, but just don't want to

spend the weekend if I can avoid it. How much travel time was

involved between his office and the hospital?
