Guest guest
I had skipped heartbeats before, but not as often as now. But my main worry now is the arrhythmia that lasts for 30 seconds. I only had arrhythmia once ever before, in december 2009. And not again until now last week when i started fludro. Then i stopped for 5 days and heart was fine. I started fludro again 4 days ago and have had arrhythmia and skipped heart beats several times since then. I also have a tight chest now. I feel any of then changes i have done to my regimes lately Are doing this to me. What is your take om salt intake with my low range sodium serum lately while on fludro? Guest guest
, You have been complaining about arrhythmia's for the 4 months I have been on this board. Why are you saying that you have only been getting them since starting Fludro. Guest guest
, I hate to say this, but have you considered that you might have a panic disorder and are having panic attacks, not heart problems? If you had a real heart problem, I think the hopsitals would've seen it by now since you've been there several times and you check out fine, right? Just something to consider.... > > Does anyone have any clue what is causing this? > The changes I've done lately is: > Since 9th of March: 20 mg HC in the morning, 10 mg at lunch, 5+5 in the evening: 40 mg HCSince 16th of March: 0.05 mg (50 mcg) Fludrocortisone + 35 mg DHEA in the morning. > I get more and more skipped heartbeats, and it even happened while I had an appointment with my GP. I told him " listen to my heart right now!! " but he JUST missed it! I've tried to get any form of registration of my heart symptoms for nearly 20 of my 31 years now. But have never succeeded! > > The worst thing I know is the arrhythmia, when the heart beats irregularly... :-( >
Guest guest
I agree. Pulse that comes down after you eat salt means you NEEDED salt. Also, headaches can be sign of low salt. I do not know what salt intoxication is. Can you please explain, ? Didn't Hertoghe tell you to continue salt and/or potassium with your florinef? Florinef can cause headaches I am pretty sure when you first start as your body adjusts. THat is why it is suggested here to start slowly, but I know Hertoghe put you on the full dose straght away. Can you call Hertoghe and ask how much salt you are supposed to be taking or at least tell them you are having signs of low salt: headache, high pulse, etc. Kathleen > > >Thanks, but sorry - i had panic attacks before and i recognize them. Havent had one for almost 10 years. I am not worries about my heart, but my elevtrolytes and whats goin on when i change meds! Bo was 120/80 at the ER now. Which is perfect. Pulse 75. So i an going home. > > You keep producing adrenaline, it may not be a full blown panic attack > BUT it's severe anxiety. > > Is there a time of day this happens to you most often?? > > What times do you end up in the ER?? > > If there is a regular pattern try and look at that together with your > HC dosing. > > Nick >
