Guest guest
I have had high cortisol for probably a year now and didn't even realize it until some of the other high cortisol symptoms appeared. I've been on cortisol for 2 years and have been diagnosed with hypoP. I have had a hard time keeping potassium up, it's been common for me to have potassium in the 3.4-3.6 range. My question is, does high cortisol lower serum potassium? I am on 120meq and that basically kept me around 4.0. Since I'm weaning HC, will my potassium go up and I will overdose on 120meq? Guest guest
Yes high cortiosl can lower potassium, but you will just have to track potassium levels again to see how muhc it may have been for you. Even off HC I am still neeidng 7500mg potassium a day, so thta is not that cause entirely of potassium losses. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
