Guest guest
I use 3 kinds everyday, for a total of 3000 MG (my doc said to take as much as 5000 because of high cholesterol): 1. Green Pasture's Cod Liver Oil (Oslo Orange) - it's supposed to be one of the best cod liver oils out there 2. Spectrum Fish Oil gel caps (made from sardines, mackerel, and anchovies) 3. Carlson Norwegian Salmon Oil gel caps I'm happy with all three of them. Guest guest
I keep them all in the fridge. The cod liver oil was pretty nasty tasting initially, and I had to do a quick honey chaser. But I have since refined my " technique " . So long as you don't breathe from the moment you put it in your mouth to a little after you've swallowed, it's quite tolerable. There's not much of an aftertaste (kinda orangey), which is good. The other 2 kinds I take before a meal, which reduces the fishiness. I don't find the Spectrum to be all that noticeable, but the Carlson's seems to give a little bit of a " fish burp " . Since I have to get up way before I would normally like (I have a pet bird that likes to rise with the sun), I take 2 Salmon Oil gels, eat a beet brownie, and then take a nap. By the time I get up again, I don't have to worry about burping fish .
