Guest guest
-Hi Tina, You can check on line for your appt. status through the main Kaiser site. You will need to establish a log on ID and password if you don't already have one. As for when to start the 10%, you should contact the site for which you are approved. Unfortunately I think both Richmond & SSF won't consider any weight you have lost prior to your weigh in at orientation. I could be wrong though. You are right that not all Kaiser surgery sites have the same process with the starting point of the 10%. As for the cancellation list...when you meet with your surgeon he can put you on this list. This was told to me at my orienation last week at the Fremont site. Best of luck to you, In gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients , Tina Lingo <ma2two@s...> wrote: > > A couple questions... > Colleen...you mentioned that you could check online for classes and status. I've heard conflicting information on that. Does it depend upon the surgeon or the facility? I'd really like to start really working on the 10% weight loss but I don't want to lose it all only to be told I have to lose 10% more. Any thoughts? > Can you call the Richmond facility and get on a cancellation list for all the appointments that you need or is that only once your ready to be scheduled for the surgery. > > > > Sorry...too many questions. Guest guest
I hope you hear the good word soon! Guest guest
It seems like all of the Kaiser's should have the same procedures. Sure seems like it would make it easier for everyone. I'll call Richmond and find out. > > > > A couple questions... > > Colleen...you mentioned that you could check online for classes and > status. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I too went to the point west kaiser for a class and was given a booklet and the dietician at that time encouraged us to eat healthy eat protein and to not start our ten percent but to not gain weight. She said we would not be able to get our ten percent weight loss counted until we went to the orientation class after we got our acceptance letter, or we saw the surgeon whichever came first.......................... the appointment and class info is on the kaiser perm member site, but you do have to register and and then you get a pin number in the mail to use, its a great feature you can do refills with the pharmacy that way and get them mailed to you and you dont have to wait in line at the pharmacy physically. as far as being anxious, i am right there with you, counting the days until my oct26th orientation appt in south san francisco. you are in good company colleenTina Lingo wrote: A couple questions...
