Guest guest
Kallie, my condolences. How heartbreaking. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Lyn OT posting I have not been doing much posting lately. My last few wks have been hard. And the last 2-3 wks really sad. I had a brother who passed away on Friday Feb 13th. It was not something expected. It seems that when he had a painful back last Oct he thought it was because he moved the wrong way or bent over the wrong way like we do sometimes and get that muscle spasm thing. He went in Nov and Dec but nothing came back to indicate cancer, not even his blood work. They kept testing because as the Doctors said his blood test kept coming back looking funny, and that was not a good thing, and eventually told him it usually meant cancer. Anyway in January after more testing, he was told he had bowel cancer. He went in for the operation on Jan. 20th, and was told it was a success, but when in there, they found 2 spots on his liver. He never came out of the hospital and went downhill so fast after that. The Doctor said it is a hereditary condition running on our mothers side. Everyone is still in shock, everything has happened so fast. He did not seem to have any problems before that. In his spare time he would make things like headboards, cedar chest etc, and just thought he moved the wrong way lifting and moving something. I am missing him so much... So while I have come in and read some postings later in the evenings, that was about it. I have dropped 4 lbs on my scales, but I did not go to WI. I hope to get back to being more active in the next few days. Everyone take care..... ~~Kallie~

Guest guest
Oh my gosh, Kallie - I just read this. My heart goes out to you and your family on this terrible loss. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I think its' that much harder when its' so unexpected - when someone seems to be so healthy... Kallie, I'm so sorry.
