A little background: My rheumatologist is at the Cleveland Clinic - I

am telling you this man is brilliant - kind, caring, teacher of the

year, wants his patient, me, actively involved in their care - is well

published and very well respected within the community - So now he has

this patient, moi, who he can't get under control. We have a great

relationship. We do much by email - I go up there every 2-3 months -

do all my blood work and it works - He is very busy and I am asking him

to go outside the box - So all knowledgeable ones - my first mistake was

telling him that the protocol was clindamyacin (sp) so of course he has

reasons why not to use that - BUT he put me on doxicycline last week for

my face - he started me at 50mg, I went to 100mg and my face is almost

normal - and I am tolerating it well. He made a point of telling me

that he wouldn't give me minocin - because of lupus - so since

doxicyline is ok - I am staying off the request for minocin - I want it

to be easy for him to be successful. - He is looking for peer reviewed

documentation that he can hang his hat on - I think I am going to give

him the physicians packet - But does anyone know of a " Name "

Rheumatologist from a name institution that is sucessfully using this

protocol? And, if I just do doxicycline - where do I find the

protocol? I know I have to do all the work - Many of you have been

successful, so I want to do it right!

Thanx
