I was haaving UTIs all the time until the urologist

told me to insist on a cathertized sampling instead of

peeing in a cup. they were false positives, and all

those prescriptions of cures were unneccessary....

So

the ‘clean caught’ urine specimen was faulty every time? EEEK!

How many of our ladies are right now being treated with antibiotics which won’t

help at all because there is no infection – but something else is going

on!!!!!!!!

When you stopped

taking the antibitiotics, what did you do when the same kinds of symptoms (UTI)

came back? Did you ever discover what it really was?

Well, possibly not every time - who knows - but I am

sure many times it ws false.

I have FMS and successfully took Trazadone for 15

years - also I am menopausal - so I was having

frequency and urgency problems, tightening (part of

the FMS for me) and I just took in samples out of past

experience that it was a UTI. The urologist eventually

saw me and said I had a trace of blood in my urine,

which he monitored for a couple of years and it went

away. My mom had some odd kidney problems that were

never fully diagnosed.

And I have waited out the symptoms of UTI to the point

where I had bigtime red urine - that was what happened

in November - then I was treated for a real UTI, got

what may or may not have been a yeast infection, got

treated for that, ended up with vulvar pain...
