My mother (undiagnosed Hashimoto's according to autopsy) had terrible jaw

problems for years and years. She actually had TMJ surgery...had a plastic disk

put in the joint there. She also would wear one of those splint things while

sleeping.

i also have had TMJ problems in the past.

Yes, I recall getting jaw fatigue with chewing too much...usually steak....over

the years.

Of muscle pain

While on this subject of muscle pain, I have to ask, does anyone else have JAW

muscle problems? Can;'t quite call it pain, tiredness is more descriptive. I

notice this when eating anything I have to do much chewing on, steaks, salads,

even sometimes a sandwich. I have often wondered if this has a thyroid link as

it seems to come & go with me, like all my other thyroid symptoms!

I have had TMJ problems most all of my life. I always clench my teeth

together, which results in a tired achy jaw. I have had various appliances,

and braces to correct it, chiropractic adjustments, and nothing has really

helped much until recently when I upped my armour. It was one of the

unexpected benefits I saw.

I've had TMJ problems for many years. I used to sleep with one of those bite

guards but it really didn't help.

I have it, and it's a puzzle, huh? I know some would say that I'm not

" having any fun " , but it's as though my jaw won't support my smile. I know

that I do have some dental problems, due to shifting of teeth, etc....two

teeth missing that shouldn't be, both molars, so my constant chewing

mechanism would be off anyway, but the pressure around my ears seems to be

greater when my throat has that full feeling, and a swollen thyroid,

frankly. I've been suspecting that it's all very connected, but then

thought maybe my immagination was working overtime also. I wish I had info

on this one, as it's very aggravating. I do realize also that, as we get

older, things start shifting " downward " , lol, but there's so much tension

involved here, that I've got to think that it has nothing to do with aging.
