Guest guest
Does anyone know if there is a doctor in Virginia, DC or land that does the Lap procedure? I am currently waiting approval for the open procedure. (waiting for new insurance BC/BS to put me into the system) Think I would prefer the lap procedure, however at this time travel to NC would be problem etc. Anyone know of a surgeon in my area? Guest guest
I'm in Northern VA -- please let me know if you hear of anyone good. I think I'll end up traveling to NC for Dr. Rutledge, but because of 3 small children it will be a hassle. But so is living with this weight so whatever it takes!!! We could form a local support group...where are you both located? Amy Poe poeamy@... >>Hi there, >I live in same area as you. I want the Lap procedure >also. Guest guest
Amy, I would be willing to try to help with the child care if you get the surgery. I live in Roanoke Rapids and it is the first city if you take I95, as soon as you cross the Virginia border. If you would like to talk more, e-mail personally. edenbeck@... Guest guest
In response to : <Congrats on your wt loss! Must be that Dr Marcus is your doc. I think we can count your St Bernard if he purrs and is cute and does a good lap? > Thanks for the support. Dr. Vanguri was my surgeon. I owe him a lot...such a talented and kind man. My St Bernard is a 160, 8 year old female. She does think she is a lap dog at times. Thank God she doesn't try to sit in your lap but she does get her head right in there and snuggle under the arms. I am working towards the loss of the last 40-50 lbs. This is my goal this year. I am not dieting per se but I am trying to make the best food choices I can everyday. I am far from perfect. I, alas, do not dump so I need to be very careful with sugars as they go down very well. I keep my food plan simple. I eat small amounts, slowly, concentrating on protein first. I do exercise. I am grateful for all of the information that I have learned from this group over the last few months as I approached " graduate status " . You cannot know how helpful it has been. The latest thread concerning plastics has been very helpful as I think I will need that in the next year. I am becoming rather " shar peisih " looking. Oh well spandex covers a multitude of sins.
