Guest guest Posted May 29, 2002 Report Share Posted May 29, 2002 Kass I talked to UMDF today...they told me the same about the badges and didn't know what color ribbons the docs were wearing b/c the med school is doing that...but we figured since mos tof the docs were males tht they were not going to be light purple! She did tell me they are going to be selling pins as a fundraiser that are of green ribbon which is what the UMDF picked (even tho this stands for other things too) but we can have the light purple for our group... I talked briefly about this with Kass...the plan is to meet Thursday Night at 8pm for anyone already there...we are thinking about the starbucks in the galleria but have to check thier hours...will get back to you on that... deb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did actually call one day last week and the person I needed to talk with was not there, but have not had a chance to call back since then due to sick kiddo's!!! Its been insane over here.....Chance came down with a nasty, nasty virus on Mother's Day and we spent time in the ER getting fluids into him and a week getting him back to decent health, then just as he was getting better, Madison came down with it and we got to go back to the ER for fluids, and then spent the next three nights up all night getting fluids into her g-tube all night long every hour, then just as she is getting better she comes down with an ear infection, and then Abby came down with the same virus on Sunday. She's handling it much better than the other two and I think we'll be able to avoid the ER with her atleast!!! And the week before all of this started DH had surgury and was down and out for two weeks from that!!! I am tired of being a nurse!!! LOL Needless to say, all phone calls I needed to make got put on the back burner, and this one got put there too. I WILL call in the morning and see what I can find out, but I really think all will be fine with the lighter purple ribbons. Promise to let you all know as soon as I hear something. Here is the information I have on the type of name tags being used: "Name tags are clear plastic 4" x 3" high that paper slips into with metal clip to clip on clothes. (see pcnametag.com) Best is to have the ribbons that stick to the back of the plastic badge covers." Sorry again for not getting this done before now!!! We can definatly move from here to the hotel where they have a ton of areas where we can sit and visit as a group. In fact, lets say that at 9pm or so we'll move to the lobby area of the hotel so those that cannot get to Starbucks on time will know where to go to find us. I am going to be attending the dinner and then heading over, so I'm planning on getting to Starbucks by about 8:30-8:45 myself. Let me know if this sounds good.
