Guest guest
Hi, Everyone Thought I'd check in. I saw my EP to see if the second ablation would be indicated. Of course, I was NSR when in his office. I had a holter monitor done 3 days prior but the report or the strips weren't back yet. He ordered an event monitor and told me that he needed to have documentation re: what my heart is doing before he can come up with a plan. The event monitor will be for 30 days and it will begin tomorrow afternoon (ordered a week ago). In the meantime, he will be on vacation from tomorrow until 5/11, and told me to give him a call if I didn't hear anything back from him by then. That will give him time to see the strips. I believe that I documented at least 2 SVT events (HR up to 180s) and multiple PAC/PVCs and am hoping that can give him something definitive to go on. I asked him if nothing could be documented, then I might have to " live with it. " He did not believe that would be the case since I continue to be symptomatic with palpitations, dizziness, and chest pressure, especially when on the move. When I am in the Dr's offices, I have been waiting for 30-60 minutes sitting and my rhythm is normal. When I move around at work or when exercising or out and about with my husband, I feel palps, dizzy, chest pounding. So, I wait for something to show that will give the EP some direction. He took me off all cardiac meds except coumadin at this point, since the side effects were making me feel ill in and of themselves and it wasn't holding the arrythmias at bay. My INR is also not stable after 8 weeks, at 1.4 and 1.5 the last 4 weeks. This is maddening, trying to " catch my heart in the act " so that my docs can see what is happening. All I know is that I feel what I feel and I want to feel better, regardless if it is flutter, fib, or " benign PACs/PVCs " . If I am not a candidate for the 2nd ablation, then great! But, I hope the EP can recommend to my cardio what CAN help, if meds are to be reverted back to. I'm sure that I will soon be joining those on Magnesium. However, when I do have an event, my HR was as high as 220, so it is getting higher, so if ablation can stop it for good, that's what I want. Can anyone else relate? Thanks for your support.
