Guest guest
Any simple suggestions to make meat more exciting? can have chicken and beef right now. Not pork. She's tired of boiled chicken breast. I can get a little more exciting with beef. Any ideas for chicken. I thought of just broiling it with some honey on top. I'm looking for SIMPLE ideas. Nothing complex and gourmet where she won't eat it since she's a kid. Also, nothing baby-ish like chicken nuggets, since she's 14 and not 8. Thanks in advance. Also, I'm so stressed lately with all the different opinions I'm getting. She still has bad gas and still trying to figure that out. We're seeing a DO, 2 chiropractors, a nutritionist. Just wondered if anyone else has had this situation. It's hard to know what tests to run, what supplements she really does need, etc. She's 14, now at school all day (thank you, Lord!!!!), and can't swallow capsules so she has to put the supplements in applesauce and doesn't have all night to just keep eating applesauce. So, I really try to not have her on a million different supplements. Guest guest
Hi, Marla, sure is a trooper doing SCd at age 14! I periodically make a dish my mother used to make, and it is yum. and super easy. super easy.I was making it with chicken thighs and legs. It was yum, but i remembered she made it with turkey thighs. Turkey thighs are very meaty and satisfying.the dish is turkey thighs cooked in sauerkraut. I put in a few bay leaves, a gift from friends w a bay tree. Sauerkraut: cabbage + salt, I buy it ready made. It can be made stovetop or in in crockpot.A little more adventurous: chicken Marbella: boy is it yum. Essentially, chicken cooked with olives -SCD ok ones- and prunes. /sounds odd, perhaps, however it is really luscious.Sometimes just cook up turkey thighs, chill and slice for lunches. hope some of these are tempting. Guest guest
Hi, I couldn't swallow capsules until I was approximately 19 years old. At that point, I was forced to learn due to needing meds that weren't crushable. I probably spent a half hour every night psyching myself up to take them. But before long, I was downing them like a pro! I wish I had learned to swallow pills earlier in life, because it would have made things a lot simpler. Maybe you could find some supplements in very small capsules to get your daughter used to swallowing a pill. I have some vitamin d pills that are the tiniest little gel capsules I've ever seen.
