I don't believe size has anything to do with it. I am 5'9 size 6. I have never had a weight problem. I too got too thin on the candida diet. I was downing almonds and almond butter trying to gain weight.

I've always been just kind of an average weight....

I have never been really thin and never been fat either.

I'd say I'm medium boned, kind of muscular actually.

Does that make me a mesomorph?

I'm 5'4" and about 130 lbs. y best weight is somewhere between 115-120 lbs but it's been a few years since I've weighed that.

Thinner

"Thinner" was the title of a book by mmm- I forget hisname, the thriller writer who wrote Kujo etc. Just alittle joke here. Fun book, though.I am certainly an ectomorph and always have been(small frame, thin). I come from a long line of trimpeople, some tall some short. My daughter who has vv(mine is dertmatosis v) is also small and relativelythin. And yes, trying the anti-candida diet makes useven thinner. I'm 5 foot 3 and weigh maybe 105. She'sabout 5 foot 2 and weighs probably the same. So, how about it? Are we mostly ectomorphs? Isn'testrogen stored in fatty tissues? We thin women arealso at greater risk of osteoporosis. And for that Itake calcium. Calcium citrate is the most usable formfor your body. __________________________________________________

I'm about 5'3 and between 135-140 pounds...althought my mom is VERY small, and weighed 95 pounds most of her life. Guess I got my dad's genes on that one!

I do not think size has a lot to do with it, but you never know. I think the problem is that there are many CAUSES so it seems. So it may be hard to pinpoint one pre-disposition to having VV or other related problems. So although thinner people might have a hormonal difference that could contribute to VV or related problems, I don't think that's the main cause. My opinion is that there are a lot of causes. One major one could be diet. To me, it seems this is mainly a North American and sometimes European problem. I have not researched that enough to make a judgement for sure, but it seems I have never heard of someone living in Asia or Africa with this problem which I think is very interesting.

Also I think it is interesting to explore relatives sharing these problems. I was reading a study that said they found many women relatives with a similar problem. But I also wonder if it's not genetic but a dietary or habit thing....like if the mother uses a lot of lotions and creams and this is a contributing factor, that habit could be passed to the daughter.

When I took psychology we learned to take these studies saying a problem might be genetic with a grain of salt. You don't know what other factors could be involved...I do find it very interesting! Anyway...I think the survey is a great idea. I don't know how many women are on the list, but if there were enough to get a clear picture or poll on weight, size, and what we think might have contributed or cured our VV...that could be very helpful. I definitely think we should have a poll on "what cured/helped us" in the future. That might give hope to the people who feel they are hitting rock bottom so to say...
