After running a support group for a long time and running chats I can assure

you that the " just show up " plan doesn't work. It is best to arrange a weekly

scheduled time. For instance, 5pm every Wednesday night. That way everyone

knows what and when. That works good. Then you go and hang out at that time

and see who shows up.

Don't forget that there is AOL instant messenger which is free to anyone to

download. It enables each individual to see who is online at the same time

that they are and chat in a one on one basis real time. That works great. If

your interested in that you can go to AOL.com and download the program for

free. Then we would plug in our screen names that we choose. It works great.

Those who have AOL don't need to download the extra program. That is for

people who don't have AOL.
