How are you doing? I Had the first papillotomy in 91 and then they did the

spincteroplasity in 92, that is where go thru the stomach, after that

surgery I had a T tube for 8 weeks. They did the second papillotomy in 97.

I really don't think none of this has help. I been in bed for the last week,

trying to get over the pain, nausea, and vomiting. I don't want to go to the

hospital because they always have't to do a central line, and now there

having trouble with the central line. When I was in Dec. they had to stick

me twice. I hope the stent has relieved some of your pain.

Sharon,

Hi dear I have a question for you you had paillotomies did they cut you open>

? Debbie said she had one thou the ERCP and the way they explained it to me

is they cut me open and cut the duct back and reconstruct it with part of my

bowels..what she discribes to me is what they have done to me which they

called spinterotomy so I am confused .. if you know or anyone.. I asked the

doctor yesterday and he said that it is called a papillotomy..thanks Hope you

are feeling better...

hugs and kisses

Hi Sharon,

I hate to hear that you went through all that and STILL have misery.... I'm

having sporatic pain now, but I have the stent taken out on Wed. It will be and

EGD though and not an ERCP. I hope your getting some liquids in you.... Do

you have meds for the nausea and vomiting? I don't know what a central line is,

but it doesn't sound fun! I hope you get better soon :)

Hugs,

Col Debi

,

if you want, check out the website for Hopkin's GI website (it

should be in the pancreatitis support network's link page. It has

pictures of a bunch of the different surgeries and what, exactly they

are doing. It's under either Therapy or Diagnosis for chronic

pancreatitis. I don't have my binder of info handy at the moment, so I

can't tell you for sure which one.
